What's MetroNext?
Many agree that our North American culture is changing at an unprecedented pace. It seems like we are experiencing change in nearly every aspect of our society -- politically, socially, economically, and spiritually. Especially in Metropolitan settings, this complex and emerging culture has confronted the church at its core. It demands that we all work together to develop innovative ways of being followers of Jesus, new kinds of faith communities and pioneering approaches of worship and service.
We have begun taking on this challenge. We believe if Christ is to transform the emerging culture it will be by equipping, empowering and releasing the generation who understands the culture best. The most effective way to reach the emerging culture is to release the emerging generation to do it! We affirm the value of strengthening, renewing and transitioning existing churches and the need to plant, resource and coach new faith communities.
MetroNext is a relational network seeking to connect Christians who feel called by God to invest their lives, talents, creativity and dreams in the transformational mission of Christ. Our dream is to join God's activity in the renewing of existing churches and in planting new faith communities to bring healing, hope and restoration to the emerging generation. If God is stirring in your life and you are sensing a renewed passion, let's connect and explore this new venture together.
